Enduro, Hare and Hounds and Enduro Tryout Days with WOR Events

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THIS WEEKEND'S CROSS COUNTRY RACING AT THE AWESOME PENYBONTFAWR!!

This weekend cross country events taking place at the awesome Penybontfawr circuit on the Powys borders is subject to some changes in the race format.

This venue is certainly one of the clubs best and always offers fun and a great camping and family experience. The MICHELIN supported XC event on the Sunday 6 th July was to be a 2 race format with a 2 hr am event for the intermediate classes and a 3 hr open event for the pm sessions.

However due to some circumstances out of WOR's control the event will now be

A ONE RACE FORMAT STARTING AT 10.00am.

Now a single race will run for 3 hours with a 2hr cut off point for the intermediates i.e... Sportsman, over 40, novice and Youth and then continuing for the Experts, Clubman, Over 35's, Over 45's and the Sportsman pm riders. So ALL riders will be in one race staring at 10.00am running through till 1pm, with the race awards presentation taking place for all classes at 1.30pm. Making it a nice early trip home for all the riders.

 

The circuit is nearly finished and is simply awesome with 11.3 (read big track!!) kilometres of mountainside fun. The course will have a very special grass special test area of nearly 2 kilometres near the parking area and also will use over 80 acres of unused going. The “special test” area is right by the parking field and pits area and will allow spectators an awesome view of the racing, first hand. The track is fast and flowing and will offer all riders a chance to ride in some of the most spectacular views that Wales has to offer. The off road loop will offer endless rolling grass meadows with some sheep tracks and tractor trails, these coupled with some woodland and shrub sections will make for an overall great circuit. All this at 1300 ft!!!!!

 

Saturday from 10am till 3pm is a race exp day offering practice/advice/mini race for all dirt bike lovers and then the Junior specific FMF hare scrambles takes place from 3.30pm till 5pm. Get booked in and don't miss any of the action………………
